General Capacity Estimation Formula:

For a VOTATOR, the capacity can roughly be estimated using the following formula:

[ \text{Capacity} = \text{Chamber Volume} \times \text{Turnover Rate} ]

Step 1: Calculate the Chamber Volume

The volume of a cylindrical chamber can be calculated as:

[ V = \pi \times r^2 \times h ]

Where:

  • ( r ) = radius (half of diameter in inches),
  • ( h ) = height (length of the chamber in inches).

Given:

  • Diameter = 6 inches, so radius ( r = \frac{6}{2} = 3 ) inches.
  • Length ( h = 6 \text{ ft} = 72 \text{ inches} ).

Calculating the volume:

[ V = \pi \times (3)^2 \times 72 \approx \pi \times 9 \times 72 \approx 2036.75 \text{ cubic inches} ]

To convert cubic inches to liters (since 1 cubic inch = 0.0163871 liters):

[ V \approx 2036.75 \times 0.0163871 \approx 33.39 \text{ liters} ]

Step 2: Estimate Turnover Rate

The turnover rate depends on the speed of the VOTATOR and how many times the contents of the chamber can be processed. Given the shaft speed is approximately 367 RPM, you might assume a turnover rate of about 1 turnover per minute for a basic estimate.

Final Capacity Estimate

Assuming 1 turnover per minute:

[ \text{Capacity} \approx 33.39 \text{ liters/min} ]

Conclusion

The estimated capacity of each VOTATOR is approximately 33.39 liters per minute

Capacity Calculation:

  • Estimated Capacity: 33.39 liters/minute

Convert to Liters per Hour:

[

\text{Capacity per hour} = 33.39 , \text{liters/min} \times 60 , \text{min/hour}

]

[

\text{Capacity per hour} \approx 2003.4 , \text{liters/hour}

]

Conclusion

The estimated capacity of each VOTATOR is approximately 2003.4 liters per hour.
